Timing case cover

 Caution

Risk of injury to skin and eyes due to handling of engine oil. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing engine oil

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not fill engine oil into beverage containers.

Remove

Drain off, collect engine oil.



Engine oil and oil filter change

Remove belt pulley.

Remove belt pulley for coolant pump.

 Do not remove coolant pump.

Remove screws of the timing case cover (1) in reverse order of the tightening procedure.

Remove timing case cover(1).


Carefully remove timing case cover (1) without a sharp-edged tool.
Otherwise, damage to the sealing surfaces of the oil pan, crankcase, and cylinder head may occur.

 Replace and dispose of timing case cover (1).

Clean

Clean sealing surfaces of the oil pan, crankcase, and cylinder head.

Install

Apply sealant to new timing case cover (1).

Always install a new timing case cover (1).
Leaks can occur otherwise.

Align and position new timing case cover (1).

Screw in screws of the new timing case cover (1) as per the tightening procedure.

Install new radial shaft sealing ring in new timing case cover (1).
