Raise engine from below and support with a wooden block (approx. 5 cm high) at the front axle

To facilitate access to the bolts (6).

Take off end cover together with radial shaft seal (1) at crankcase

Install

Clean sealing surfaces

Ensure scrupulous cleanliness. Clean sealing surfaces at crankcase and at oil pan (e. g. with acetone), clean surface on crankshaft (4) with a clean cloth without using cleaning agent.

Coat sealant to the marked points (arrows) of the oil pan gasket

Fit on end cover together with radial shaft seal (1) and oiled assembly sleeve (2) at the crankshaft

Only use assembly sleeve (2) if the assembly sleeve enclosed with the repair kit is faulty or is no longer available.

Push end cover with radial shaft seal (1) over the assembly sleeve (2), carefully push up and position flush at crankcase. Take off assembly sleeve (2)

Do not damage seal for oil pan and the sealing lip (3) for the radial shaft sealing ring must not be overstretched and must rest against the crankshaft (4), otherwise this can lead to oil leakage.

Tighten end cover with radial shaft seal (1)

First of all screw in bolts (6) from below, then fit on the front bolts (5) of the end cover with radial shaft sealing ring (1) and after this tighten.

Raise engine and remove wooden block between engine and front axle

Install drive plate

Pour in engine oil
