Remove cylinder head cover

Remove vacuum pump

Remove predelivery pump

Remove chain tensioner

Unscrew bolts (2) at front cover (1)

Lift off lock pawl (7) of top slide rail (6) from the dowel pin (4)

Top guide rail (6) is released and remains in timing chain box.

Pull front cover (1) at cylinder head forward and detach from cylinder head

Pay attention to dowel pins (3, 4, 5)

Installation: Apply sealing compound to front cover (1)

Install in the reverse order

Bleed low pressure fuel circuit

Run engine until warm, switch off and inspect for leaks.
