Removing, installing

Press catches (arrows) together and pull vacuum line (2) off vacuum pump (1)

Unscrew bolts (6) from vacuum pump (1)

Pull off vacuum pump (1) towards the front

Installation: Insert the driver on the rear of the vacuum pump (1) into the driver of the exhaust camshaft (5).

Replace sealing rings (3, 4) and clean sealing surface.

Install in the reverse order

Danger!

Risk of accident. Accidents may result if the vehicle starts off unintentionally with the engine running. Risk of injury. Crushing and burn injuries may result while working on engine during when it is being started or when it is in operation.

Secure vehicle to prevent it moving off.
Wear closed and close-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Check for oil leaks

Run engine until warm, switch off and inspect for leaks.
