 Danger !

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Switch off ignition

Unscrew cap (1) from coolant expansion reservoir

Check corrosion and antifreeze protection for coolant

 Rectify corrosion and antifreeze protection for coolant as required.

Check coolant level

The coolant temperature must be  50 °C.



 The coolant level on a cold engine must reach up to the "MAX" marking in the coolant expansion reservoir.

If coolant level is too low:



Check coolant for leaktightness and check coolant for antifreeze content subject to separate repair order.
