Replace bolts for flywheel

Remove clutch

Remove starter (M1)

Insert retaining lock (1) into starter opening

  Allow retaining lock (1) to engage in the flywheel (3) ring gear; turn engine at the belt pulley with vibration damper in direction of engine rotation if necessary.

Remove bolts (2)

 Installation: Replace bolts (2).



Remove retaining lock (1)

Take off flywheel (3)

 Installation: Inspect ring gear of flywheel (3) for damage, replace flywheel (3) if necessary.

Ensure that flywheel (3) is seated correctly.

Install in the reverse order

Carry out initialization

 Only if flywheel (3) has been replaced.

Use STAR DIAGNOSIS in menu item "Control Unit Adaptations" to perform initialization.



Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory
