Remove/install

Disconnect battery ground line

Lift/jack up vehicle

Unscrew bolt (1) on cable duct (2)

Disengage cable duct (2) from the bolt (arrow) from above and place to one side

Installation: Ensure that the cable duct (2) is seated correctly in the bolt (arrow).

Disconnect electrical line of circuit 30 (3) at the starter (M1)

Disconnect electrical line of circuit 50 (4) at the starter (M1)

Detach starter (M1) at crankcase and remove it from below

The starter (M1) is fastened with two bolts.
