Function sequence
Locking vehicle at driver's door with key on vehicles equipped according to the GGVS guidelines
1 Basic prerequisites:
Driver and passenger doors closed.
Ignition: OFF.
2 Locking operation actuated mechanically with key in lock (1) in driver's door.
3 The mechanical locking operation is detected by a changeover switch in the locking motor (M11) in the driver's door and by the lock switch (S87), and immediately signaled to the CL/CLS control module (A23).
4 The signal from the changeover switch causes the CL/CLS control module to actuate
the GGVS control module (A5)
and
the locking motors (M11 and M12) in the driver and passenger doors.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The signal from the lock switch causes the CL/CLS control module to actuate
the power window motors (M7 and M8) in the driver and passenger doors
and
the sliding/pop-up roof control (2).
The locking motors move to the "locked" position, the closed doors are locked, the open windows and open sliding/pop-up roof are closed within the scope of convenience locking. The cab interior lighting goes out.
The GGVS control module switches off the entire power supply 10 s after completion of the locking operation. For this purpose, it interrupts actuation of the battery separation switch.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The sliding roof can be prevented from closing with the sliding roof lockout switch (S91).
If the passenger door is open when the locking operation is actuated, the closed driver's door is locked, unlocked and then locked again to indicate that the door is open. In this case, the convenience locking feature is not actuated; the windows and sliding roof remain open
The locking instruction for the passenger door is stored and the passenger door is locked automatically when it is closed later
To close the windows and sliding roof within the scope of convenience locking after the passenger door is closed later, it is necessary to mechanically unlock and open the driver's door, switch the ignition on and back off and then lock the driver's door again in order for the GGVS control module to switch the power back on with the battery separation switch.
