Remove/install

Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Drain off coolant at drain plug (2) of coolant pipe (3)

Collect coolant

Replace coolant

Remove coolant hose (4)
from coolant pipe (3).

Collect coolant

Mark charge air hoses (5) and remove on charge air cooler (6)

Installation: Note the installation position of the charge air hose (5).

Detach coolant hose (7) at radiator (1)

Collect coolant

Detach coolant hoses (8, 9) at the coolant pipe (3)

Collect coolant

Detach supporting strut (10) at radiator (1)

Remove radiator (1) on holder (11) for
frame (12) on the left and right

Installation: Check rubber mounts (13) for wear; replace if necessary.

Detach left and right brackets (14)

Lift out radiator (1) with charge air cooler (6) upwards

Remove radiator (1) and
charge air cooler (6) carefully upwards otherwise there is danger of damage.

Remove fan shroud (15) at radiator (1)

Only when replacing the radiator (1).

The fan shroud (15) is attached to both side cooler consoles with bolts.

Remove charge air cooler (6) from radiator (1)

Only when replacing the radiator (1).

The charge air cooler (6) is attached to both side cooler consoles with bolts.

Install in the reverse order

Inspect cooling system for leaks
