Due to recent events, please remember that the following information on tightening wheels must be observed at all times during wheel mounting. Because of the special components involved in the wheel combination (wheel, compound brake disk, wheel hub) it must be ensured that the vehicle-specific rated torque is achieved gradually through 3 stages. If this information is not observed, further problems may arise when driving the vehicle.
Before mounting the wheels, the information in AR40.10P110002A "Cleaning, checking and protecting wheel bolt connection components against corrosion" must be observed.
Tightening the wheels:
1 Apply wheel bolts in a crosswise pattern uniformly, see picture.
Torque: max. 20 Nm. Wheels under no load.
2 Tighten wheel bolts in a crosswise pattern uniformly, see picture.
Torque: max. 75 Nm. Wheels under no load.
3 Tighten wheel bolts by hand in a crosswise pattern to the rated torque, see picture.
Observe the permissible rated torque specific to the vehicle. Wheels loaded.
