Remove through-drive cover (9) with input shaft (10)

Release collar nut (1)

 The locking tab must be sheared off completely, as small remains of the locking tab can damage the thread of the drive shaft (10) when unscrewing the collar nut (1).

Detach drive flange (2)

 To undo the collar nuts (1) do not use an impact wrench, as otherwise the bearings of the through-drive may be damaged.



Pull grooved ball bearing (11) off the input shaft (10)

 Use a suitable drift.



Install

Install new grooved ball bearing (8) up to the stop in the through-drive cover (9)

 With 233 mm dia. ring gear

Install radial sealing rings (6, 7) in threaded ring (5)

 Install radial sealing ring (7) first, then the radial sealing ring (6) with each sealing lip on threaded side.



 Pack space between dust and sealing lips of radial sealing ring (6) with grease and coat sealing lips with grease.

Install input shaft (10) all the way up to stop in the through-drive cover (9)

 Danger!

Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.

Heat up new grooved ball bearing (11) to approx. 80 °C and mount on the input shaft until it abuts with the differential

Clean the thread in the through-drive cover (9) and on the threaded ring (5) thoroughly and coat with a permanently elastic sealant
