Danger! | Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted | Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt the cab all the way to the end position and secure with the safety strut.
4 | Tilt cab | ||
| Notes on tilting the cab | ||
Danger! | Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
5 | Partially drain coolant at radiator
| Notes on coolant | ||
6 | Detach coolant hose (9) from coolant pipe (14).
7 | Remove bolt (11) | ||
8 | Remove charge air pipe
Danger! | Risk of injury caused by pinching or crushing when working on springs or spring bodies that are under tension | Use only approved tensioning devices; shield off hazard area if necessary.
9 | Slacken poly-V belt (1) and remove from deflection pulley (3)
10 | Unfasten bolt (2) of deflection pulley (3) | Loosen bolt (2) and guide pulley (3) until the top bolt (4) is accessible.
11 | Remove bolts (4) | ||
12 | Remove alternator (G2) with connected electrical lines and place to one side
13 | Detach coolant hose (6) from coolant connection (7).
14 | Remove coolant connection (7)
Checking | |||
15 | Check whether the bracket (24) is already installed | If the bracket (24) is already installed:
Install the previously used parts again (from operation step 32).
If the bracket (24) is not installed:
Retrofit bracket (24) for coolant pipe and install previously used parts again (from operation step 16).
Install bracket for coolant pipe
16 | Remove retaining clamps (13) of coolant pipe (14) from bracket (15)
