Certification

Introduction

For some time, it has been possible to convert vehicles with emissions standard Euro V to emissions standard EEV (Enhanced Environmentally Friendly Vehicles). This has enabled us to respond to customer interests derived primarily from the achievable reduction in toll-fees in Austria of 2.1 cents per kilometer compared with vehicles with emission standard Euro IV/V, as introduced in 01.01.2010. The conversion may only take place through a company equipped with an output dynamometer. The corresponding locations of output dynamometers are listed in the SI00.00-W-0037A.

Extent of conversion

The conversion basically comprises the exchange of injection lines, pressure pipe connections and injection nozzles and change to the software of the engine control (MR) control unit.

Notes on parts ordering

The required parts should be ordered with the vehicle identification number and engine number.

Vehicle model series

As of 07/2010, the conversion can be carried out at reasonable expense on the following vehicles and code combinations:

Actros model 930, 932, 933, 934 with:

Code MS5 (BlueTEC 5)

Code KD6 (Exhaust monitoring for nitrogen oxide (NOx))

plus one of the following engine variants:

Code MV3 (Engine, V6, 300 kW/408 hp)
