Driver's seat

Function requirements:

Within t = 30 s after unlocking the vehicle.

Within t = 20 min after opening the driver door (only adjustment of the driver seat) or the front passenger door (only adjustment of the front passenger seat).

Status "circuit 15R ON" is activated.

Status "circuit 15X OFF" is activated.

The left front seat adjustment switch (S22) is not actuate for more than t = 50 s.

The seat adjustment motors are normalized.

There is no valid memory block number of the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73) available.

There is no overvoltage or undervoltage.

Overvoltage is present with > 15 V and undervoltage with < 9.7 V.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In order to be able to correctly carry out the adjustment functions, the listed seat adjustment motors have to be normalized. In other words, the seat adjustment motors have to be moved one time each to the front and rear, or one time to the top and bottom adjustment stop.

The seat adjustment motors are denormalized, if the Hall sensor is defective and when the battery (G1) is disconnected from the on-board electrical system.

A valid memory block number from the EIS [EZS] control unit (N73) has to be available, since the seat position is stored in dependency on the transmitter key. To do this, the "KEY-DEPENDENT SETTINGS" menu has to be activated in the display of the instrument cluster (A1).

The memory button "M" (6) and the memory positions 1, 2, and 3 (7) rotary switch in the left front seat adjustment switch (S22) can be used to store 3 individual seat positions for each transmitter key.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Move the driver seat into the desired seat position by actuating the left front seat adjustment switch (S22); afterwards, there are the following 2 options for storing the seat position in the left front door control unit (N69/1):

First, press the memory button "M" (6) in the left front seat adjustment switch (S22) and keep pressed, then press the desired position key in the rotary switch for memory positions 1, 2, and 3 (7) of the left front seat adjustment switch (S22) for t 40 ms.

First, press the memory button "M" (6) in the left front seat adjustment switch (S22) for t 40 ms and release again, then, within t = 3 s, press the desired position key in the rotary switch for memory positions 1, 2, and 3 (7) of the left front seat adjustment switch (S22) for t 40 ms.
