The refrigerant circuit can be divided into two systems, the high pressure system and the low pressure system.

High pressure system

When the refrigerant has cooled the air in the evaporator, it is led to the refrigerant compressor. The gaseous refrigerant is compressed again and heats up as a result.

The refrigerant is subsequently sent to the condenser. This is where the energy added in the compressor and the heat generated in the evaporator is given off into the surrounding area. This cools the refrigerant, which then liquefies.

In order to keep the refrigerant free of contamination, it is

filtered through a molecular filter between the condenser and the expansion valve and air bubbles are removed.

Low pressure system

When the refrigerant compressor is switched on, the fluid that has cooled in the condenser is injected into the evaporator through the expansion valve.

The refrigerant evaporates and thus extracts the evaporation heat that is required to evaporate the refrigerant from the flow of fresh air. This causes the air to cool, and the moisture in the air condenses.

The expanded gas passing through the expansion valve then returns to the refrigerant compressor, where it is compressed again.
