The heater enables a pleasant interior climate for the vehicle passengers in the event of different weather conditions.
With the temperature selector switch (18/2) integrated in the heater operating unit (N18), the required temperature can be set for the vehicle interior. Turning the temperature selector switch (18/2) to the left lowers the temperature in the vehicle interior. Turning the temperature selector switch (18/2) to the right increases the temperature in the vehicle interior.
Depending on the desired temperature, the position of the blend air and lock-up flap can be mechanically adjusted via cables. This in turn regulates the air volume of fresh air or recirculated air, which is routed over the heated front heat exchanger.
Fresh air or recirculated air cannot be cooled at the heater operating unit (N18).
To accelerate an increase or reduction in temperature, the heater operating unit's (N18) integrated air flow control (18/1) can be used to adjust the output of the blower motor (M2) in 6 stages and the air distribution can be adjusted using the heater operating unit's (N18) integrated air distribution switch (18/3).
