Function
The data for the voice prompt during guidance is read from the CD-ROM by the navigation processor (A2/30) and stored in the memory. The loading operation is not indicated. After the language has been loaded the following announcement is made:
"LANGUAGE LOADED".
Loading a language requires:
Up to 20 minutes with first and second generation systems
Only approx. 20 s with third generation systems.
If the APS is switched off while loading a language, the language data is lost and must be loaded again. Avoid heavy vibration of the navigation processor (A2/30) while loading a language.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After a longer power failure (> approx. 15 s) the language data is lost and is automatically reloaded from the CD-ROM.
After a short power failure (< approx. 15 s) it is necessary for the user to reload the language data.
