GF80.50-S-2004A | Triggering anti-theft alarm ATA, function | 28.5.97 |
MODEL 638.0 /1 /2
with CODE (FZ5) Anti-theft alarm
with CODE (FZ4) Anti-theft alarm with interior motion sensor
The anti-theft alarm (ATA) can be used only in combination with central locking.
The alarm can be triggered by:
opening one of the doors, the tailgate or engine hood
disconnecting the trailer plug
(when trailer coupling is present as special equipment).
switching on the ignition
releasing the central locking by actuating the interior handle
manually activating the panic switch
and in addition, with ATA2
breaking the rear window
jacking up the vehicle
(inclination sensor)
movement in the vehicle interior
(ultrasonic sensors)
This assumes that the corresponding inputs have been switched ready for an alarm by activating the ATA. If the alarm is triggered, the siren is actuated for approx. 25 - 30 s and the turn signal lamps for approx. 240 s.
If the alarm is triggered, it can be shut off at any time with the control switch in the door lock or with the radio frequency remote control.
If a trailer coupling is installed, the trailer is also protected by the anti-theft alarm (ATA).
If the trailer plug is connected, the ATA control module is connected to ground.
If the anti-theft alarm (ATA) is activated, the ATA control module then checks this state at periodic intervals.
As soon as the trailer plug is disconnected, the ATA control module is no longer connected to ground.
This results in triggering an alarm.
