MODEL 437.42 /43 /46 with CODE (A30) Tire pressure control system (tire control)
Select the relevant axle or all axles using the RDRA front/rear axle switch (S73). Then switch the RDRA inflate/deflate switch (S74) to deflate (indicator lamp in switch comes on). The RDRA control unit (A29) transmits the signal to the solenoid valve of the 3/2 directional control valve (Y47 or Y48).
The 2/2 directional control valves (45.01) are actuated with compressed air from the ancillary consumer circuit. The 2/2 directional control valves (45.01) switch to allow air to pass.
The tire inflation pressure can escape into the atmosphere via the shuttle valve (28.03).
A muffler (39.02) is installed on the shuttle valve (28.03) to silence the deflation noises. The tire inflation pressure is monitored with the electrical pressure indicator (11.01) for front axle and rear axle and shown in the driver information system display.
The electrical pressure indicators (11.01) close the off switches (10.01) at the minimum tire inflation pressure (approx. 0.8 bar). This switching ensures that the tires cannot be completely deflated.
At tire inflation pressures below 0.8 bar, the tire can turn on the rim, which should be prevented.
