Remove

Remove paneling from soft top at front

Knock off rivet (1) on left and right and remove remaining rivet (1) on left and right

 Model 207.4## ## up to 205475, 209.4
Tensioning strap of insulation is secured together with roof liner (2) to rivet (1).

Remove roof liner (2) with sealing lip (3) from soft top lock mounting plate (4)

Move soft top to intermediate position

 See figure.

Remove sealing lip (5) from roof bow (6)

Remove sealing lip from roof bow (10)

Remove sealing lip from 3rd roof bow (12)

Knock off rivet (7) and remove remaining rivet (7)

Take off tensioning strap (8)

Extend tensioning strap mount (9) out of roof bow (10)

Knock off rivet (11) at 3rd roof bow (12)

Remove rubber tensioning strap (13) and remove remaining rivet (11)

Knock off rivet (14)

Remove tensioning cable (15) and remove remaining rivet (14)

Knock off rivet (18) at soft top bow (16)

Remove tensioning cable (15) with eyelet (17) and remove remaining rivet (18)

 Leave soft top bow (16) in upright position.

Unscrew nut (21)

Detach roof liner (2)

Remove roof liner (2) from rear window frame (29)

Knock off rivet (23) on mounting hinge (22)

Remove fabric tensioning strap (24) with tensioning strap (25) and remove remaining rivet (23)

Guide textile tensioning strap (24) through eye (27)

 Textile tensioning strap (24) should run below soft top canvas.

Remove roof liner (2) from roof bow (20)

Remove roof liner (2) from vehicle



Install

Place roof liner (2) in vehicle

Position roof liner (2) in installation position

Insert roof liner (2) in roof bow (20)

Position roof liner (2) around cross strut (28)

Pull textile tensioning strap (24) through eye (27)

Position tensioning strap (25) around cross strut (28)

Tighten roof liner (2) on rear window frame (29) with nut (21)
