Feeler gauge
1 | Install side wall paneling (1), rear side wall paneling bottom section (2), liftgate or rear-end door, seal and lock striker and fit. |
2 | Check gap dimensions with feeler gauge and adjust. |
3 | Fix side wall paneling (1) and rear side wall paneling bottom section (2) in place. |
4 | Remove liftgate or rear-end door, seal and lock striker. |
5 | Drill Ø 7.1 mm rivet holes in side wall paneling (1) at defined punch marks (area B). |
6 | Drill Ø 7.1 mm rivet holes in side wall paneling (1) at defined punch marks (area A). |
Only on vehicles with rear-end door. |
7 | Drill Ø 6.5 mm rivet holes in side wall paneling (1) and rear side wall paneling bottom section (2) (area C). |
8 | Remove side wall paneling (1) and rear side wall paneling bottom section (2). |
9 | Deburr rivet holes on both sides. |
10 | Coat insides of riveted joints with zinc dust paint. |
