Before starting testing work, the test log must be printed out, and filled out step by step during the test.

A 2-pin measuring instrument is used as the test equipment.

The measuring instrument must be checked for proper operation before starting any testing work in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.

Information on voltage measurement between red female test connector (plus)/HV+ (wiring harness) and black female test connector (minus)/HV- (wiring harness)
During the test for power disable, if the measuring instrument emits an acoustic signal instead of a voltage value as a result, this is not a malfunction.
In this instance, the recordable voltage lies below the display range of the measuring instrument, which is why the continuity check is automatically activated.
In this case, the voltage value of 0 V must be entered in the test log.

Carefully connect probes of measuring instrument to high-voltage connecting points.
Otherwise the high-voltage connection points may be damaged.

Perform voltage tests on the high-voltage plug connection (2) using the test adapter

Perform manual power disconnect for high-voltage on-board electrical system

1

Connect measuring instrument between the red female test connector (HV+) and the brown female test connector (vehicle ground) on the test adapter and check if power has been disabled.

2

Connect measuring instrument between black female test connector (HV-) and brown female test connector (vehicle ground) on the test adapter and check if power has been disabled.

3

Connect measuring instrument between red female test connector (HV+) and black female test connector (HV-) on test adapter and check if power has been disabled.

If a voltage  60 V DC is measured for one of the tests, the test must be repeated after 5 min.

If the second test still records a voltage  60 V DC.

Notify the responsible market support department immediately.

4

Enter recorded values into the corresponding test log section.

Voltage tests on the high-voltage connector wiring harness (27b)

Perform manual power disconnect for high-voltage on-board electrical system

5

Connect measuring instrument to wiring harness for high-voltage plug (27b) between pin 1 (HV+) and vehicle ground and check if power has been disabled.

6

Connect measuring instrument to wiring harness for high-voltage plug (27b) between pin 2 (HV-) and vehicle ground and check if power has been disabled.

7

Connect measuring instrument to wiring harness for high-voltage plug (27b) between pin 1 (HV+) and pin 2 (HV-) and check if power has been disabled.

If a voltage  60 V DC is measured for one of the tests, the test must be repeated after 5 min.

If the second test still records a voltage  60 V DC.

Notify the responsible market support department immediately.

8

Enter recorded values into the corresponding test log section.

9

Place the test log inside the windshield until restarting, and then add it to the repair documentation after restarting.
