1 | Disconnect the contact and starter switch. | ||
Danger | Risk of fire/risk of explosion due to short circuit and escaping oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of (burn) injury caused by caustic burns to eyes, skin and mucous membranes from battery electrolyte/mist, short circuit and arcing. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing battery electrolyte or absorption of lead through the skin or body orifices. Risk of death due to voltage U >= 30 V AC and U >= 60 V DC. | No fires, sparks, open flames, or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing, and glasses. 2 | Turn off the battery negative cable. | ||

3 | Remove the steering wheel. | ||
4 | Remove the floor coverage from clearance in the left side to the driver foot. | ||
5 | Remove the steering wheel covering. | ||
6 | Remove the combined switch. | ||
7 | Remove the actuation lever of adjusting of continuous motor/brake. | ||
8 | Remove the response transmitter coil (2) of contact and starter switch (S1). | Installation: Note the correct mounting position. | |
9 | Drill the central body of one-way beak-off screws (1) of contact and starter switch (S1) at steering column. | Mark well defined centers with a center punch. With a 3 mm drill, previously machine right in the center of the screw. After, machine with a 8 mm drill. | |
Installation: Confirm the correct position and tighten evenly and alternated the new rupture screws (5) up to the ruptures of respective heads. | |||
10 | Remove contact and starter switch (S1) of steering column and disconnect the wiring harness from the connector plug (3). | ||
11 | Remove the closing cylinder (4) (lock core). | ||
Installation: Assemble the new closing cylinder intact in the new contact and starter switch. | |||
12 | Perform the assembly in reverse order. |
