| Check | ||
1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m).
2 | Reduce vacuum in brake booster by depressing brake pedal several times.
3 | Attach vacuum tester (1) to brake booster.
Test connection | |||

4 | Actuate electric vacuum pump using diagnostic device.
| |||
5 | Read off measurement value after 30 s on vacuum tester (1). | Vacuum in hose after electric vacuum pump has been actuated for 30 s
If a deviation from the specified value is determined,
| |||
Check vacuum line for damage.
If the vacuum line is damaged,
| |||
replace vacuum line. | |||
Repeat test procedure after replacing vacuum line.
If another deviation from the specified value is determined,
| |||
replace electric vacuum pump.
6 | End actuation of electric vacuum pump using diagnostic unit.
| |||
7 | After 30 s, read off measurement value on vacuum tester (1). | Vacuum in hose after electric vacuum pump has been at a standstill for 30 s
If a deviation from the specified value is determined,
| |||
Check vacuum line for damage.
If the vacuum line is damaged,
| |||
replace vacuum line. | |||
