Measure

1

Observe general information on chassis alignment.

Drive vehicle onto measuring system.

 The measuring system must be approved by Mercedes-Benz.

Install brake pedal jack between brake pedal and driver's seat.


Install the  brake pedal jack carefully.
The driver seat can otherwise be damaged.

 You only need apply slight pressure to the brake pedal.

Shift manual transmission into neutral position.

Open window of the driver's door.

 Lower the window for the steering angle routine, get out of the vehicle and close the door.

 Do not load vehicle anymore.

Attach universal quick-clamp holder.

Attach measuring heads of measuring system.

Compensate rim runout.

Release turn plates of measuring system.

Determine vehicle level.

Perform initial measurement.

 During the initial measurement, the actual suspension data such as camber, toe, steering axis inclination, caster and toe-out angle are determined.

Check camber at front axle.
