	Removing
1	Remove both rear axle shafts (7)		AR35.30-D-0620B
2	Drain oil at rear axle center assembly		AP35.00-D-3501A
3	Remove propeller shaft at joint flange (3)
4	Spin join flange (3) by hand and check axial play of bearing	 The axial bearing must have no play! If there is play or if there are particles (shavings) in the drained oil, replace the gear set and the bearing in the rear axle center assembly: 
		Remove drive pinion and crown wheel with differential	AR35.30-D-4815A
5	Measure and note down friction torque at drive pinion flange	 Measure friction value at approx. 50 rpm.

7	Remove both radial seals (4)
	Install
8	Install radial seals (4)	 Pack space between dust lip and sealing lip with multipurpose grease. Coat outer circumference of seals with sealant. Do not coat partially rubberized seals with sealant	AR35.30-D-4670-02A

9	Install joint flange at drive pinion		AR35.30-D-4670-03A

		 If, after the initial torque of the collar nut there is still play in the bearing of the drive pinion, or after adjustment the friction torque is not 0.1 - 0.2 Nm above the noted value, the compression ring must be replaced. Never correct friction torque by turning back collar nut.
		Remove and install drive pinion and ring gear with differential	AR35.30-D-4815A
