Drain oil from rear axle



Rear axle - oil change

Remove rear axle shafts

Remove propeller shaft

Remove left combination cylinder

Remove differential assembly.

Remove ring gear with differential

Remove pinion housing (2
) with drive pinion (3)



Install

Clean sealing surfaces on pinion housing (2) and on axle housing (5)

Coat sealing surface on pinion housing (2), sealing surface on axle housing (5) and shims (4) with sealant

Install pinion housing (2
) with drive pinion (3)

 Clean bolts (1) and coat with thread locking compound.

Install crown wheel with differential

Adjust gear backlash at differential assembly

Install differential assembly
