Remove/install coolant pump

Remove/install

Open engine compartment flap at rear

 Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Close shutoff valves for heating system and drain the coolant

 Location of shutoff valves, refer to operator's manual.



Drain/fill in coolant

Remove coolant thermostat

Loosen bolts for belt pulley (1)



Remove coolant pump poly-V belt

Take off belt pulley (1)

Remove coolant connection below (2)

 Remove guide pulley (3) if required.

 Installation: Install new gasket



Remove coolant pump (4) from cylinder crankcase

The coolant pump is fastened by 8 bolts.

 Installation: Clean sealing surface and replace gasket. Fix seal in place using a little grease. Pay attention to different lengths of bolts.


