Removing, installing

Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.

Slacken bolts (2) of drive gear (3) of coolant pump



Slacken poly V-belt (4) of base drive

 Engine 111.955.

Swivel torx bolt (5) at tensioning pulley (6) in anti-clockwise direction for this step (arrow).

Installation:

Lock tensioning pulley with pin or drift.

Inspect poly V-belt, replace if necessary. 

Remove poly V-belt.

Take off drive gear (3) of coolant pump (7)

Detach coolant line (8) at coolant pump (7)

Installation:

Inspect coolant line and hose clamp, replace if necessary.



Installation:

Inspect coolant line and hose clamp, replace if necessary.

Detach coolant line (13) at coolant pump (7)

Installation:

Inspect coolant line and hose clamp, replace if necessary.



Detach coolant pump (7)

Installation:

Inspect hose clamp (10) and coolant line (11), replace if necessary.

Clean sealing surfaces of coolant pump.

Replace gasket (12) of coolant pump.


