Danger !

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

12

Perform a visual inspection on all components carrying coolant

For a pressure drop with visible coolant loss:

Check radiator, heater cooler, coolant pump, coolant hoses, coolant lines and their connections, hose clamps, cylinder head gasket, core plug or core plug screws; remove leaks in engine cooling system.

For a pressure drop without visible coolant loss:

Check cylinder head for cracks.

13

Relieve test pressure at test equipment (3) completely

14

Loosen knurled nut (4) and remove clamp (2)

15

Remove adapter (5) with test equipment (3) on expansion reservoir (1)

16

Check coolant level, pour in coolant if necessary
