Modification notes
10.8.05 | Air pressure limiter valve on bracket | Engine 541.9, 542.9
18.8.05 | Completely revised due to design changes and operating methods | Steps 1-5 |
| Remove/install | ||
| Notes on compressed air connection systems | ||
1 | Remove compressed air reservoir line at connection (1) | After turning off engine, individual lines are scavenged with compressed air for about 3 minutes. For this reason, do not start any work on the exhaust aftertreatment system before this time has passed.
To detach compressed air reservoir line first loosen union nut (4) by two revolutions to release pressure and then remove.
| |||
2 | Remove compressed air operating line at connection (2) | First loosen union nuts (3) by two revolutions to relieve pressure and then remove.
| |||
3 | Remove pressure limiting valve with vent (30.03)
| Notes on self-locking nuts and bolts | ||
4 | Install in the reverse order
5 | Pressurize compressed-air system up to cutoff pressure |
