Remove the belt driven air compressor (2)

Turn the engine until there is coincidence of the arrow (3) with the marking on the pulley (4)

The 1st cylinder will have to be at delivery point (beginning of injection).

Remove the gear visor cover (5) and check the coincidence of the arrow (E) with the gear marking (D)

In engines where the air compressor is belt driven.

Remove the crankcase vent pipe and check the coincidence of the arrow (E) with the gear marking (D)

 In engines where the air compressor is driven by the camshaft.

Remove from the injection pump (1), the fuel supply and return lines (6)

Installing: Replace the sealing washers and check for tightness.



 The manual supply pump (8) can be installed separately or together with the pump, in both cases, the connection of the lines (6) do not change.

Remove from the injection pump (1) the pneumatic pressure pipe (7) of the LDA

Installing: Replace the sealing washers and check for tightness.

Remove the fuel filter (9).

Loosen the injection lines on the injection pump (10)

 Take due care not to fold the injection lines.



Detach the acceleration rod (11)

Installing: Check the ball joint terminals, replace them if necessary.

Loosen the bolt (13) and remove the lubrication oil supply hose (12)

Installing: Replace the sealing washers, apply the specified torque and check for tightness.

Unscrew the fastening bolts (17) and remove the injection pump with the support (18)

Installing: Turn the engine in the operating direction until 1st cylinder piston reaches the compression stroke and the arrow (3) coincides with the marking on the pulley (4).

Installing: Install the injection pump (1) with a new sealing ring (14) so the marked tooth on the gear (D) is aligned with the arrow (E).



Installing: When installing a new injection pump, fill the regulator oil pan with approximately 1.5 liter engine oil.

Adjust the injection delivery and bleed the supply system.

Loosen the nut (15) attaching the gear (16) of the injection pump (1)

Remove the gear utilizing adequate tools.


