3 | Expose electrical line to the fuel injection valves (Y62y1, Y62y2, Y62y3, Y62y4) and disconnect electrical connectors on the fuel injection valves (Y62y1, Y62y2, Y62y3, Y62y4) | Installation: Replace cable ties. The electrical line must not lie against the fuel injection valves (Y62y1, Y62y2, Y62y3, Y62y4). | |
4 | Disconnect electrical connector (12) on camshaft Hall sensor (B6/1) and unclip retaining clip (13) | Engine 266.980: | |
Pull electrical line carefully and slightly under the charge air manifold in order to improve the accessibility of the bolts (15). | |||
5 | Unclip vacuum line of purging switchover valve from retaining clip (4) on fuel distributor (1) | ||
6 | Unscrew protective cap (2), screw the pressure hose onto vent valve (3) and release the fuel pressure through vent valve (3) | Drain the fuel into a safety container. | |

7 | Detach fuel line (5) at fuel rail (1) and seal with a suitable plug | Installation: Inspect condition of hose clamp, install new clamp if necessary. | |
8 | Remove bolts (8, 9), unclip clip (11) and press oil dipstick guide tube (10) carefully to one side | Engine 266.980: | |
