Remove/install

Remove crankshaft

Remove camshaft

Remove oil spray nozzles

Remove oil-water heat exchanger

 Installation: If there are chips in oil circuit, the oil/water heat exchanger must be replaced.

Remove oil filter housing and clean

Installation: In the event of pollution, replace oil filter.

Remove compressor

Dismantle rocker arm assembly and clean oil ducts in the cylinder head and rocker arm assembly

Only if oil duct in the cylinder head is contaminated or where chips are found in the oil circuit.

Remove remaining detachable parts which are supplied with engine oil or which are installed in the engine oil circuit

 Clean detachable parts.

Unscrew screw plug (4) and clean main oil duct with compressed air

 The main oil duct for lubricating the rocker arm assembly must be cleaned first.

 Installation: Replace sealing ring.



Unscrew screw plugs (1, 2, 3, 5) and clean main oil duct with compressed air

 Installation: Replace sealing rings on the screw plugs (1, 3, 5).

Coat front area of screw plug (2) with sealant and screw it into the crankcase by 3 or 4 turns.

Before fully tightening screw plug (2), coat the center area with quick adhesive.


