| Remove/install | ||
1 | Warm up engine to normal operating temperature | Coolant temperature approx. 80 °C
2 | Remove injection nozzles
Warning | Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
3 | Open expansion reservoir and radiator cap (4)
4 | Check coolant level; top up if necessary
| |||
5 | Unscrew oil filler cap (3)
6 | Remove air filter housing cover (1) with air filter element (2)
| |||
7 | Position piston for cylinder to be checked at ignition TDC
8 | Tighten connector (5) with connection piece (6)
9 | Connect cylinder leakage tester
10 | Calibrate test equipment and tighten connecting hose (7) | Observe operating instructions
| Check | ||
11 | Apply compressed air to cylinder and read off pressure loss from the test equipment | When new
