| Check | ||
1 | Check that control linkage (6) and operating lever (7) can move easily and that joints are play-free
2 | Check length (B) of control linkage (6) and length (A) of operating lever (7). | If necessary, adjust length of control linkage (6) and operating lever (7).
3 | Determine rear axle load of vehicle in ready-to-drive condition
4 | Pressurize compressed-air system up to cutoff pressure | Before fully depressing the brake pedal each time, the compressed-air system must be filled until the cutoff pressure is reached.
5 | Connect pressure gauge to test connection (3) | The uncontrolled brake pressure must be between 8.1 and 8.4 bar.
6 | Connect pressure gauge test connections (4, 5)
7 | Fully depress brake pedal | For permissible values, see diagram for adjusting automatic load-dependent brake system.
Adjust the ALB controller - subject to separate repair order.
| Check/adjust automatic load-dependent brake (ALB) | ||
8 | Detach pressure gauge
9 | Check brake system for leaks and proper function |
