1 | Perform test drive to warm up the transmission oil and place vehicle on a horizontal surface | Only change transmission oil at its operating temperature (71 to 93°C ). | |
2 | Select gear shift position N and stop engine | ||
3 | Clean surrounding area of oil drain screw (3), oil filter cover (8) and oil dipstick (1) | Extreme cleanliness must be ensured whenever work is carried out on an automatic transmission. Dirt in the oil circuit can cause malfunctions and damage to the transmission parts. | |
4 | Unfasten oil dipstick (1) and pull out | To detach oil dipstick, turn handle to the left. | |
5 | Remove oil drain screw (3) and drain transmission oil | ||
6 | Clean thread on oil drain screw (3) and coat with sealant | ||
7 | Tighten the oil drain screw (3) | | |

8 | Remove oil filter cover (8) with filter elements (4) | ||
9 | Remove O-ring (5, 6) and seals (7) from oil filter covers (8) | ||
10 | Remove sealant residue on oil filter covers (8) and on oil pan | ||
| Install | ||
11 | Coat new O-rings (5, 6) and sealing rings for new filter element (4) slightly with transmission oil | ||
12 | Place O-rings (5, 6), filter elements (4) and new seals (7) on oil filter covers (8) | ||
13 | Attach oil filter cover (8) with the filter elements | Tighten bolts (9) for oil filter cover evenly diagonally. | |

15 | Introduce oil dipstick (1) and secure | To secure dipstick, turn handle to the right | |

16 | Conduct a road test | ||
17 | Check oil filter cover (8) for leaks | ||
18 | Check transmission oil level and correct if necessary | Only check transmission oil level at its operating temperature (71 to 93°C ). |
