2	Open heating system shutoff and control valves
	Drain/fill in coolant	 Only perform steps to open shutoff valves.

3	Unscrew cap (1) for coolant expansion reservoir
4	Connect testing unit (3)	 Only perform leakage check with cold engine. Fit on testing unit (3) at coolant filler neck and connect compressed air line with tire inflation connection to valve (2).	*001589832100
5	Build up test pressure	 Test pressure equals the opening pressure of the cooling system which is recognizable from the code number of the cap or pressure relief valve. Code number 40=0.4 bar  A safety valve with an opening pressure of 1.2 bar is integrated in the testing unit.
6	Check radiator, coolant expansion reservoir, coolant pump, oil cooler and engine filler cap and heat exchangers of heating system and Voith retarder for leaks	If damage or defects are found:  Repair or replace components (subject to separate repair order).
7	Inspect all lines and hoses of the cooling and heating system for leaks, undamaged condition as well as routing and attachment free of chafing points	If damage or defects are found:  Replace lines, correctly route and secure new lines, if necessary (subject to separate repair order).
8	Check radiator for external contamination	Fins and intermediate spaces must not be blocked with dirt, if necessary:  Clean radiator (subject to separate repair order).

9	Release pressure from cooling and heating system on valve (2) and remove test unit (3).	  Tighten cap (1) again.	*001589832100
10	Close heating system shutoff and control valves
	Drain/fill in coolant	 Only perform steps to close shutoff valves.
