4 Thermostat valve lid

5 Lid fastening screw

6 Hose

Remove and install

Open engine compartment cover

Refer to body manufacturer's instructions.

Danger!

Risk of burningdue to high coolant temperatures

Relieve system pressure by cautiously opening expansion tank filler cap to first stage. Do not remove filler cap at engine temperatures above 90 oC.

Use the required EPIs.

Drain the cooling system

Collect the liquid, replace it if necessary.

Change the coolant

Remove hose (6) from cover (4)

Check condition of fastening clamps and hose (6). Replace as necessary.

Remove screws (5) and cover (4)

Remove O-rings (3)

Installation: Replace O-rings (3).

Remove thermostat valves (2)

Installation: Assure correct position of thermostat valves (2); air outlet orifice (arrow) must point upwards.

Check thermostat valves (2)

Test thermostat valves.

Install in reverse order

Control the coolant level

Replenish as necessary.

Cooling system: Check and restore the level and concentration of the coolant
