1 | Removing the flywheel. | ||
2 | Quickly heat-up the ring gear (1) and remove it with pressure. | ||
3 | Measure the flywheel diameter (B) for the seating of the ring gear (1). | If the flywheel is machined on the diameter (A), the ring gear also has to have the inside diameter in the repair stage size. | |
4 | Measure the ring gear (1) inside diameter. | The ring gear (1) must be of an equivalent measurement to the flywheel (2). Example: If the flywheel (2) has a repair stage measurement, the ring gear (1) will also have to be in its repair stage measurement. | |
5 | Heat-up the new ring gear (1). | Do not use a blow-torch to heat up the new ring gear (1). | |
6 | The ring gear (1) must seat perfectly on the support surface on the flywheel (2). | Maximum out-of-round on the ring gear seat. | |
Check the interference fit of the ring gear (1) on the flywheel (2). | |||
Maximum dynamic imbalance of the flywheel with the ring gear | |||
7 | Drill the ring gear (1) and tap M 10 x 1.5 thread. | ||
8 | After installing the ring gear (1) check the maximum permissible lateral run-out. |
