Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection. | |
1 | Allow pressure in coolant circuit to escape | ||
2 | Disconnect ground lead from battery | Do not interrupt main battery current in heater mode or in the run-on phase. | |
Danger! | Risk of injury caused by body parts being jammed and crushed when tilting cab | Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab during tilting. Always tilt the cab all the way to the end position and secure with the safety strut. | |

4 | Detach electric plug (1) and remove plug (2) with bayonet nut (3) from retaining plate (4) | ||
5 | Separate cable strap (13) | ||
6 | Disconnect coolant hose (10) | | |
7 | Open hose clamp (6) of coolant hose (10) and detach coolant hose from connecting pipe (11) | Collect escaping coolant (approx. 0.7 l) in a clean vessel. Installation: After installing heater unit, pour escaped coolant back into the coolant circuit. | |
8 | Disconnect coolant hoses (5) and (8) in same manner | ||
9 | Remove solenoid valve (12) | | |
10 | Install in the reverse order | ||
11 | Check coolant hose connections for leaks | ||
Danger! | Risk of explosion caused by fuel vapors igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling combustible gases and risk of injury caused by burns during and after operation of heater unit | Do not operate stationary heater, auxiliary heater or engine with heater booster in closed areas or when refueling. Allow heater unit to cool down after operation and wear protective gloves. | |
