2 | Detach heater unit electrical connector (3) | Release lock using a screwdriver. | |
3 | Pull coupling of electrical connector for heater (3) out of holder | ||
4 | Detach electrical plug connection to solenoid valve (4) | ||
5 | Pinch off coolant hoses (9, 10) | | |
6 | Detach coolant hose (10) from connection fitting of heater (1) | Use clean vessel to collect escaping coolant (approx. 2 l). | |
Installation: Check condition of hose clamp and coolant line (10), replace if necessary. | |||
After installing the heater, pour escaped coolant back into the cooling system. | |||
7 | Detach coolant hoses (9, 11) from connection fitting of solenoid valve (13) | Installation: Check condition of hose clamps and coolant hoses (9, 11), replace if necessary. | |
Danger! | Risk of explosion caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel and risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel | No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear protective clothing when handling fuel. | |
8 | Remove fuel line (5) at heater (1) | Installation: Replace hose clamp on fuel line (5). | |
9 | Seal fuel line (5) with a suitable plug | ||
10 | Detach exhaust line (6) | ||
11 | Detach combustion air line (7) | ||
12 | Remove heater (1) with bracket (2) | ||
13 | Remove heater (1) from bracket (2) | ||
14 | Install in the reverse order | ||
