Remove/install

Switch off ignition

Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Unscrew coolant drain plug from the radiator and drain coolant

Collect coolant

Remove dashboard

Remove heater housing

Detach Bowden cables at heater housing

Label Bowden cables.

Ensure that Bowden cables do not kink.

Unclip air flap housing (1) from heater housing

Unclip heater housing fastening clamps (2) all the way around

Detach upper section of heater housing (3) from lower section of heater housing (4)

Remove heat exchanger (5)

Install in the reverse order

Inspect heater and ventilation for proper operation
