Remove/install

1

Carry out initial startup of left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2)

When replacing the left front lamp unit (E1) or the right front lamp unit (E2).



Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory

 Installation: Note Data Matrix code on the left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2).

Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key or KEYLESS-GO start/stop button from electronic ignition lock control unit

Detach bumper in the area of the left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2)

When removing left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2).

Mask off bumper in area of left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2) with suitable adhesive tape.
Otherwise the paint may be damaged.

Remove front bumper

When removing left front lamp unit (E1) and right front lamp unit (E2).

Remove screws (1, 2, 3)

 Installation: Only screw in screws/bolts (1, 2, 3) until they make contact, as it may be necessary to check and adjust the gap dimensions after bumper installation.

Remove left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2) until the electrical connection can be disconnected

Disconnect electrical connector from left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2)

Remove left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2)


Carefully remove left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2).
Left front lamp unit (E1) or right front lamp unit (E2) can be damaged by the fender.

Remove left front actuation module, LED exterior lighting or right front actuation module, LED exterior lighting
