Remove

Remove noise encapsulation.

Drain coolant at drain screws (1, 2) on retarder (3).



Remove chips stuck to drain screws (1).
The cooling system can get damaged otherwise.

Detach locking pressure line (6) from threaded fitting (5) and check sealing ring in quick-release fastener of locking pressure line (6) for damage.

If damage is found on the sealing ring in the quick-release coupling of the locking pressure line (6),



replace locking pressure line (6).

Remove clamp (8) from transmission.

Remove cable ties (7) from transmission.

Remove locking pressure line (6) from coolant hose (10) and check coolant hose (10) for damage.

If the coolant hose (10) is damaged,



replace coolant hose (10).

Unscrew threaded fitting (5).

Only if the threaded fitting (5) is leaky.



Install

Screw in new threaded fitting (5) with new sealing ring (4).

Only if threaded fitting (5) is replaced.

Attach locking pressure line (6) with new clamp (9) to coolant hose (10).

Attach clamp (8) to transmission.

 Bolt, clamp for retarder blocking pressure line to transmission

Attach cable ties (7) to transmission.

Coat sealing ring with lubricant and slide locking pressure line (6) onto threaded fitting (5) until the safety clip latches into place.

Add coolant.
