Clamp control arm (3) in vise

Use soft vise jaws.

Clean thread (arrow A) of ball joint (1) thoroughly using wire brush

When reusing ball joint (1).

Loosen nut (2)

Unscrew ball joint (1) from control arm (3)

Install

Only screw the ball joint (1) into the control arm (3) until the distance (B) corresponds to the noted value

Tighten nut (2) finger-tight. Tighten the nut (2) only when adjusting the control arm (3).

Install control arm (3)
