Remove air filter housing.

Loosen fan shroud at cooler.

 Release fan shroud at left and right and slide fan shroud upward as far as possible.

Attach engine support clamp and lift engine.

Remove screws (14) and screw in again approx. 6 turns.

 Use removed screws (14) only for lowering integral carrier. Exchange support washers with thinner washers (thinner washers, see in EPC, design group 46, subgroup 015, image position 103).

 Installation: Replace screws (14) and reuse old support washers.

Lower integral carrier on screws (14).

Remove screws (15) on front axle differential (5).

 Installation:
Ensure that front axle differential (5) is installed unstressed.
This prevents collisions at the integral carrier.

 Installation: First tighten both screws (15) on bearing bushings and then both screws (15) on elastomer bearings.

Lift front axle differential (5) out of holders in integral carrier.



Secure front axle differential (5) against tipping over by using a suitable mat.
This prevents damage.

 The bearing bushings on the housing of the front axle differential (5) can only be removed and installed individually in each case, this is why the front axle differential (5) must be lifted on one side at the front or rear respectively.
