2 | Remove front wheel | Installation: Measure steering lock and adjust if necessary. | |
3 | Detach air line (11) from air bellows (3) | ||
4 | Detach brake hose (13) from brake line to wheel brake cylinder | ||
5 | Unplug cable for brake lining wear indicator at connector (12) | ||
6 | Unscrew hexagon bolts from connector (12) and remove connector (12) | ||
7 | Remove ABS sensor | Removal: First release cable from bracket. | |
8 | Detach shock absorber (8) from shock absorber bracket (9) | | |
9 | Detach anti-roll bar actuator rod (6) from anti-roll bar actuator rod bracket (14) | | |
10 | Fit lifting device and axle holder to wheel hub | ||

11 | Remove tie rod (7) | ||
12 | Detach supporting strut (4) from supporting strut bracket (5) of steering knuckle support | ||

13 | Detach upper and lower wishbones (2, 10) from underbody | Removal: Mark spacer washers between wishbone and underbody with respect to each other. | |

14 | Remove front axle half with lifting device | Ensure sufficient clearance. | |
15 | Detach supporting strut bracket (5) from steering knuckle support (1) | | |
16 | Detach shock absorber bracket (9) from steering knuckle support (1) | | |
17 | Detach anti-roll bar actuator rod bracket (14) from steering knuckle support (1) | ||
18 | Detach upper wishbone (2) from steering knuckle support (1) | | |

19 | Detach lower wishbone (10) with bearing bracket from steering knuckle support (1) | | |
20 | Remove brake caliper | ||
21 | Remove front wheel hub | ||
22 | Remove steering knuckle | ||
23 | Install in the reverse order | Installation: Replace cotter pins, self-locking bolts and nuts, and check wearing parts for reusability. | |
24 | Check front axle alignment |
