Remove radial shaft sealing ring (9) from output flange (8).

Remove retaining ring (18) and deep-groove ball bearing (10).

Remove transmission mount holder (7).

 To do this, unscrew screw/bolts.

Attach support plate (11) and valve lifter (12).

Position automatic transmission with torque converter housing (15) facing downward.

Remove screws (13, 14).

Remove transmission housing (1) from torque converter housing (15).

Remove seal (16) from torque converter housing (15).

Remove multiplate clutch K27 with output shaft and parking lock gear.

If transmission housing (1) is to be replaced.

Measure

Measure end play of transmission housing (1) and correct if necessary.

Remove multiplate clutch K27 with output shaft and parking lock gear.

If transmission housing (1) has been replaced.

Install new seal (16) on torque converter housing (15).

Align disks in transmission housing (1).

Place transmission housing (1) onto torque converter housing (15).


Place the transmission housing (1) carefully.
Otherwise the disks in the clutch pack will break.

Position output flange (8) on output shaft (17).

Position transmission housing (1) against torque converter housing (15).


Never pull the transmission housing (1) by the screws/bolts (13, 14) onto the torque converter housing (15).
Otherwise, the disks in the disk pack may break.

 By abruptly turning the output flange (8) while simultaneously lifting up the transmission housing (1), the transmission housing (1) gradually slips onto the seal (16) of the torque converter housing (15).
The transmission housing (1) must lie completely flush (without gaps) against the seal (16) on the torque converter housing (15).

Remove output flange (8) from output shaft (17).

Check that there is no gap between the transmission housing (1) and the torque converter housing (15).

 The transmission housing (1) must lie completely flush (without gaps) against the seal (16) on the torque converter housing (15).

Screw in new screws (13, 14).

Drive deep-groove ball bearing (10) into transmission housing (1) using suitable drift.

Install retaining ring (18).

Install new radial shaft sealing ring (9) on output flange (8).

 Replace bolts.
