Disassemble
1 Remove roll pins (2, 5).
With "Control cable" gearshift code G63.
2 Identify installation position of gear indicator ring (3) and reverse gear stop ring (4).

3 Remove gear indicator ring (3) and reverse gear stop ring (4).
With "Control cable" gearshift code G63.
4 Remove roll pin (8).
5 Remove locking bow (7) with shift finger (6).
Identify installation position of locking bow (7) and shift finger (6).

6 Remove housing in front of the index bolt (11) and notched element (10).
7 Install shift finger (6) on the shift shaft (1) and install roll pins (8).
Do not install the locking bow (7) at the same time.

8 Detach plate (14) and support brace (13) of the gauge.
9 Install shift mechanism on the gauge
The index bolt (11) must abut the notched element (10) and at the same time be in the neutral position.
10 Install plate (14) and support brace (13) on the gauge.
11.1 Install the sleeve (15) for centering the shift shaft (1).
With "Control cable" gearshift code G63.
11.2 Center the shift shaft (1) in the gauge using suitable means.
With code "mechanical" gearshift code G62.
12 Screw in clamping bolt (12) until it abuts the shift mechanism.

Checking
13 Using a feeler gauge measure the gap (arrows) on the right and left of the shift finger (6).
The gap (arrows) must be the same on both sides.
Adjust
14 Heat up the grub screws (9) with the hot air gun and remove.
15 Screw in the new grub screws (9) until the gap (arrows) at the shift finger (6) is the same on both sides.
Observe torque of grub screws (9).
Once the microencapsulation has cured do not twist the grub screws (9) any more otherwise the locking device of the grub screws is no longer guaranteed (9).

16 Detach shift mechanism from the gauge.
To do this, remove clamping bolt (12) then detach plate (14) and detach support brace (13) from the gauge
Assemble
17 Remove roll pin (8).
18 Detach shift finger (6) from the shift shaft (1).
19 Install housing in front of index bolt (11) and the notched element (10).
20 Install locking bow (7) together with the shift finger (6) on the shift shaft (1).
Observe installation position of locking bow (7) and shift finger (6).
21 Install roll pin (8).

22 Install gear indicator ring (3) and reverse gear stop ring (4) on the shift shaft (1).
With "Control cable" gearshift code G63.
Observe installation position of gear indicator ring (3) and reverse gear stop ring (4).
The wide chamfer must be located on the side of the shift finger (6) in each case.
23 Install roll pins (2, 5).
